For a long time, I thought I just wasn’t made like everyone else.
I worked hard, pushed through fatigue, and kept telling myself that success would come if I tried a little harder.
I loved learning and helping others, so I built a life around that.
But no matter how much I accomplished, something always felt off.
I went through two major depressions in my life.
One of them came after a complete burnout.
I was studying for my master’s degree while working two jobs, convinced that I could handle it all if I just stayed organized.
From the outside, I looked capable and motivated. Inside, I was exhausted and constantly wondering why I couldn’t keep up like others seemed to.
At the time, I didn’t know that I was what the Human Design system calls a Projector.
What Human Design actually is
Human Design is a tool that combines elements from several systems, including genetics, energy centers, and psychology.
In simple terms, it helps you understand how your energy works and how you’re meant to make decisions.
It shows you what gives you energy, what drains it, and how you naturally interact with the world.
There are five main energy types in Human Design: Manifestors, Generators, Manifesting Generators, Projectors, and Reflectors.
Each type has a different way of using energy and a different role in life and work.
Why Projectors often burn out
Projectors, like me, are non-energetic types.
That means we don’t produce a constant source of energy the way Generators do.
We’re here to guide, organize, and see things from a higher perspective — not to work endlessly.
The problem is that most of us grow up in a world built for the other types, especially Generators, who have steady energy to create and build.
So as Projectors, we learn to imitate them.
We work long hours, chase productivity, and push past our limits.
It might work for a while, but sooner or later, the body gives out.
That’s exactly what happened to me.
I was living as if I had the energy of a Generator, while my natural rhythm required rest, reflection, and focus on what truly matters.
When I realized I had been living against my design
A few years ago, a friend offered to do a Human Design reading for me.
I wasn’t very open to the idea.
I had always found astrology or personality systems too abstract.
But she told me, “It’s not about believing in something. It’s about understanding how you function.”
So I agreed, mostly out of curiosity.
When she explained my chart, I had chills.
Everything she said made sense.
It was like hearing someone finally describe what I had been feeling my whole life.
The moments when I felt aligned, the times I pushed too far, the way my energy came in waves instead of staying constant — all of it fit perfectly.
That reading helped me see that nothing was wrong with me.
I had simply been living in a way that didn’t match who I am. I had been following strategies made for other types.
How it changed my path
Understanding my Human Design didn’t fix everything overnight.
But it gave me clarity. I stopped trying to “catch up” with others.
I learned that my strength wasn’t in doing more — it was in guiding, teaching, and helping others use their own energy wisely.
It also made me realize that, even though I had taken the wrong professional paths before, I had always been in my element when I was teaching, mentoring, or supporting others.
That part had always been true to my nature as a Projector.
This awareness changed the way I work and the way I see success. I no longer measure my worth by how much I do in a day.
I focus on the impact I create when I’m rested, clear, and aligned.
Now I help mompreneurs do the same
As a mom and an entrepreneur, I know how easy it is to fall into the trap of overworking, multitasking, and comparing ourselves to others.
Most of us are exhausted not because we’re doing something wrong, but because we’re doing things in a way that isn’t made for our energy type.
That’s why I now help other mompreneurs discover their own Human Design.
When you understand how your energy works, you stop wasting it in the wrong places.
You learn when to rest, when to create, and how to structure your days so they support your natural rhythm.
It’s not about becoming a new person. It’s about coming back to who you already are.
When I finally understood my Human Design, I stopped trying to be someone else — and started living in a way that actually works for me.
Human Design isn’t magic or theory. It’s a mirror that helps you understand yourself.
Once you see your reflection clearly, everything becomes simpler: your routines, your business, your energy, your confidence.
If you’ve ever felt tired of forcing yourself into systems that don’t fit, maybe it’s time to explore your own design.
That’s what I help women do — especially moms who are building something meaningful but need a way to do it that doesn’t drain them.
Because understanding yourself is the first step to creating a business and a life that truly feels like you.
